Yogurt parfaits can be especially good for children because they combine nutrition with something kids already enjoy: color, sweetness, and fun textures.

For growing children, a yogurt parfait can support several important needs:

• Protein helps build and repair muscles, tissues, skin, and hair.

• Calcium supports the development of strong bones and teeth during years of rapid growth.

For younger children, keep toppings soft and age-appropriate to avoid choking hazards. For school-age children and teens, parfaits can work as breakfast, an after-school snack, or even a healthier dessert.
